Pattern of Education
SDKYGV follows a pattern of Education as per the directions of CBSE. It refers to a system of evaluation of students that covers all aspects of student's learning development.
Class I to V:Â Students in classes I to V are assessed on the basis of unit tests and a terminal exam at the end of a term.
Class VI to X: Students in classes VI to X are assessed on the basis of students’ performance in scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
1. Scholastic Area
The Student will prepare for 3 periodic tests in an academic year.
NoteBook Submission
As part of the internal assessment, it aims at enhancing the seriousness of students towards preparing notes of topics being taught in the classroom as well as assignments. This also addresses the critical aspect of regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.
Subject enrichment activities
These are subject specific application activities aimed at the enrichment of the understanding and skill development. These activities are to be recorded internally by respective subject teachers.
For Languages

Health&Physical Education (Sports, Martial Arts / Yoga or INCC etc.) | By the PE Teacher |
3. Discipline
Student discipline is assessed on the basis of Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviors and Values
Discipline significantly impacts career shaping and it helps build character. Sincerity, good behaviours and values develop strength and foster unity and co-operation. Therefore, the element of discipline has been introduced. The class teacher will be responsible for grading the students on a Five-points scale (A to E ).
The internal assessment comprising 20 marks(10+5+5) entails objectivity and a structured approach. For a holistic assessment, teachers are expected to make it an effective tool.
