SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA celebrated the 78th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. Patriotic songs and dances were presented which strengthened the spirit of freedom and oneness among students. A documentary related to the struggles of various freedom fighters and inportant movements was showcased.

She addressed the gathering on the importance of yoga for studies, overall health and enduring sustainable lifestyle. This year, the theme is ‘Yoga for self and Yoga for Society’.Mrs Asha Mukesh explained the ‘Ashtangayoga’ and the children did yogasanas like Vrikshasana(Tree pose), Trigonasana(Triangle pose), Brahmari Pranayama and simple meditation. The children performed yoga dance thereby conveying the importance of yoga to keep our body flexible and healthy and to feel peace of mind.
