Investiture ceremony is a solemn occasion where the school entrusts its upcoming leaders with the roles and responsibilities. The school investiture ceremony was conducted on July 2, 2025.  The school election was conducted prior to the ceremony where the students were given a novel experience of casting their votes.

Shri. P. S. Shiju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Thrikkakara was the chief guest of the day. The elected students were honoured with their respective badges. Master Akshay V B was elected the School Head Boy, Shivapriya Prajeesh was elected as the School Head girl and Seethalakshmi B S was elected as the Arts/Sports captain. The responsibilities of the various houses Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Chandrayaan and Rohini were also conferred with titles.

 

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya observed Anti drug day on June 26, 2025 to create awareness on the growing menace of drug-addiction among youngsters. The Principal Mr Binil Kumar M S delivered an inspiring speech to strengthen action and cooperation in  achieving the goal of a world free of drugs.

To support the “Haritha Keralam” project, saplings of plants were distributed to the students as a collective effort towards sustainability and environmental responsibility to create a healthier planet for present and future generations.

 

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025 with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. The students performed an amazing display of various yogasanas highlighting the importance of yoga in supporting not just  the individual well-being but also the health of our planet.

 

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated Reading Day on June 19, 2025 in commemoration of P.N. Panicker. Vice Principal Mrs. Sindhu V Nair and Balajanasakhyam Secretary Rudra Paarvana spoke the importance of reading. Various cultural programs were performed highlighting the significance of developing reading habit.

The tiny tots of SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA began their journey to the path of knowledge with great happiness and enthusiasm.  They were given a warm welcome with lots of love and affection.

SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2025. The theme for this year was “Beat Plastic Pollution”. The Chief guest Mrs. Sreeja, Manager of Federal bank delivered an inspiring speech to the students, fostering a sense of responsibility and commitment to the environmental conservation. Saplings were distributed to the members of the Eco club of the school.

 

 

The re-opening ceremony of SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA was conducted with great solemnity on  June 4, 2025 in the school auditorium. The ceremony was dignified by the esteemed presence of the members of the management, parents, staff and students. The School Principal Mr. Binil Kumar M S welcomed the gathering. The Chairman of SDKY, Mr. Yatheendran M R inaugurated the ceremony. The presidential address was delivered by the School Manager, Mr P S Sunil Kumar. The new students and teachers were given a warm welcome. The Vice principal Mrs Sindhu  V Nair proposed the vote of thanks. The re-opening was a resounding success by the blessings of the Almighty and cooperation of the SDKY family.
