The Academic Year 2026–‘27 at SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya began on a joyous note with the Reopening Celebration inaugurated by Honourable MLA Shri Deepak Joy in the presence of Municipal Chairman Adv. P. L. Babu, Ward Councillor Anand G Menon, School Manager Mr. P. S. Sunil Kumar and the members of SDKY Yogam. The occasion also marked the formal induction of Mrs. Aswathy N as the new Principal of the institution and a warm welcome to our new students and teachers. The celebration reflected the spirit of hope, unity, and excellence that will guide us throughout the year.

 

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya, Eroor organised  a one day orientation session “Faculty Enrichment Programme, 2026-’27” on the topic “Professionalism in Teaching” on May 28, 2026. The Chairman of Winworld Foundation and a renowned Columnist Adv. S. Jayasooryan was the facilitator for the session.

 

The 19^th Annual day celebrations Spandanam of SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya Eroor was held on 23 December 2025 at the school auditorium. The Chief guest of the day was Cine Artist Mr. Saju Navodaya. The day was graced by the esteemed presence of the members of the management, staff  and parents. The Annual day of the Kindergarten was  jubilant. The tiny tots enthralled the audience with their tender actions and talent. During the formal session, the Chief guest inaugurated the Annual day . The annual school report was presented by the Principal Mr. Binil Kumar M S. The esteemed guests offered words of felicitation. Students who excelled in academics, cultural events and sports were rewarded.  The variety entertainment programmes  included the students of all the classes . The programs were a kaleidoscope of songs ,dances ,and dramas. The hard work of students and teachers bore fruit, receiving great appreciation from the audience. The Annual day concluded with a brilliant Christmas message and carols .

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya organised an exhibition on November 15, 2025  to showcase the talents of students in Science, Social Science, Computer Science,Mathematics, Commerce, Psychology, Art and languages like English, Malayalam, Hindi and Sanskrit. The students displayed various models/projects on environmental conservation, mathematical theories, cultural exhibits, paintings, human anatomy and installations of poetry and literature.

 

SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, 2025 commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Respected Vice-Principal Mrs. Sindhu V Nair addressed the gathering on the importance  of the day. The children  presented a rocking dance  performance. One of the students dressed as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inspired the children with motivational speech.

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated Fruit day on November 12, 2025. The event  created  awareness about the importance of fruits for a healthy diet and a healthier lifestyle. Children learnt about the nutritional value, taste, smell, and texture of various fruits. The students of Kindergarten brought a colorful array of fruits to school which were then made into fruit salad and enjoyed by the children.

 

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated Kerala Piravi, the birthday of God’s own country on November 1, 2025. The students rendered mesmerizing dance performances.

SDKY GURUKULA VIDYALAYA celebrated the ‘National Post day’ on October 10, 2025. The students wrote letters to their beloved friends and posted them in the model of a post box kept in the school premises.

Cleanliness is vital for preventing disease, maintaining good health, and improving mental well-being. Cleanliness also creates a positive atmosphere, fosters discipline, and demonstrates respect for oneself and others. The students of SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya actively participated in cleaning the school premises with great enthusiasm during the first week of October.

The Cultural fest Sargasangamam  2025-26 was held on September 10, 2025. The colourful Fest became a platform for our children to showcase their mettle in literary and cultural competitions. Students performed the optimum of their talents to score top notches. Sri. Sajan Palluruthy, a renowned Cine artist was the chief guest of the day.
