Christmas celebration was held on December 21, 2023 for PreKG and KG children and on December 22, 2023 for children from classes  1 to 12. “Christmas isn’t a season. It is a feeling.” SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated the festival of God by welcoming it with holy carol song, Santa Claus, scintillating dances  symbolizing the spirit of Christmas. The dance performances included Angel dance, Tree dance, Bell dance, Stocking dance, Candy cane dance, Snow man dance, Reindeer dance, Jingle Bell dance and Margamkali. All the students and staff rejoiced the day wholeheartedly .




The Annual Sports 2023-24 was a two-day meet on November 22, 2023 and November 23, 2023.  The ritualistic oath taking, lighting the torch, flag hoisting, spectacular display and march past dazzled the day. The students competed with zest and zeal to win various competitions . The immense guidance of our physical education teacher and other teachers made the meet successful.

KERALA PIRAVI celebrations 2023

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated Kerala Piravi, the birthday of God’s own country  on November 1, 2023 . Our Principal Mrs Sunanda Murali inaugurated the occasion by filling the auspicious ‘Para’ along with Vice Principal Mrs Sindhu V Nair. A coalesce of  song, Aksharaslogam and dance displaying Kerala’s traditional artform ‘Theyyam’, designed the day truly as Kerala Piravi day.

NAVRATRI celebrations 2023-24

SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya celebrated  Navratri-dedicated to Goddess Durga Maa –  from October 15, 2023 to October 24, 2023. Besides dances praising the Goddess, the children also presented group songs, special displays of Karate and Yoga. Mathrupooja was held on October 21,2023 in the school auditorium. Students performed Mathruka Pooja honouring their beloved mothers. Our teachers  recited serene slokas.

Seventy two students of SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya participated in KOCHI SAHODAYA KALOTSAV competitions very enthusiastically and two of them have won prizes. Sivaganga of class 8 secured the First place in Poster Designing, Anamika G Varma of class 12 secured the Second place in Versification in English, Abhirami Prashanth of Class 11 secured third place in light music and SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya got second place in Group song.

The Cultural Fest Sargasangamam 2023-24 was held on September 25 and September 26,2023. The colourful fest is a platform for our children to showcase their mettle in various literary and cultural competitions. Students performed the optimum of their talents to score top notches. Mrs Mini Banergi, Writer and Mohiniyattam Exponent  was the chief guest on the Valedictory function.
